MEET OUR FOUNDER
Michael Patrick Ward
Founder, President & CEO of MPWard Enterprises — and Chief Technology Officer of Electronic Enterprises, Inc. (EECONS). A root-cause diagnostician whose path into technology was anything but ordinary.
A PATH SHAPED BY ADVERSITY & ADVOCACY
Persistence, redirected
A medical condition forced Mike to retire from the automotive trade. Rather than stop, he redirected the same persistence into medical-cannabis advocacy and political activism — work that contributed to the reform of New Jersey’s cannabis legislation.
Helping fellow activists with their technology is what pulled him into IT. He found that the systematic, root-cause approach he had honed in the shop translated directly — and that most technology problems persist simply because no one traces them to the source.
THE WHOLE-SYSTEM ADVANTAGE
Building the systems businesses run on
Mike went on to partner with Daniel Frieling — the documented inventor of what became the electronic medical record (EMR) — and today serves as Chief Technology Officer of Electronic Enterprises, Inc. (EECONS), a role he still holds. His range spans programming (PHP, Python, JavaScript, SQL, C++, Java, and more), Linux and web-server administration (both Nginx and Apache, chosen by use case), databases, caching, DNS, email authentication, private networking, virtualization, and self-hosted infrastructure.
The advantage for clients is simple: one partner who can follow a problem across every layer — the page a customer visits, the form they submit, the DNS that validates the domain, the server that answers, the inbox that should receive it, and the workflow that follows — and remediate the root cause, not just the symptom. It is why MEI resolves issues that other providers only patch.
Work directly with the person responsible for the result.
Whether it is a website, a server, an email problem, or something no one else has been able to name — bring it to someone who diagnoses for a living.
